Local $100,000 Donation to Pandemic Relief Fund

MSA UNITED WAY COVID-19 PANDEMIC RELIEF FUND RECEIVES $100,000 PERSONAL DONATION
FROM RETIRED AUTO DEALER, BOB KUPPER AND FAMILY

MAY 4, 2020 - The MSA United Way is pleased to announce a personal charitable contribution in the
amount of $100,000 from local retired auto dealer and businessman, Bob Kupper. This generous
donation to the MSA United Way’s Pandemic Relief Fund will help support the
Bismarck/Mandan/Lincoln community’s unsheltered residents who are especially vulnerable to the
coronavirus, and low-income individuals, students and families at imminent risk of hunger and
homelessness due to health and economic impacts of coronavirus.

Executive Director, Jena Gullo stated “Our expenses have sky-rocketed trying to make sure kids aren’t
going hungry and our homeless are safe during this pandemic. For so many children, school was their
safe place. This generous gift by Bob and his family will make sure we are doing everything we can to
take care of those in our community who are most vulnerable during these difficult times.”

“This community has been so great to me over my years in business, it’s now my family’s turn to take
care of the community when in greatest need.” states Bob Kupper. “’I’ve always based my businesses on
the value of being a good community citizen, and I will always stay true to that value even through
retirement.”

Kupper sold his Mandan dealerships to a Canadian based automotive group in June of 2019. Shortly
after, he sold Bismarck Motor Company to his longtime business partner, Chris Schneider.
